Ellen Sterk is active as a research associate and doctoral candidate at the research unit for International Economics since January 2021. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Maastricht University (NL), she took the economic path. She followed her interest in the combination of the psychological and economic perspectives in the Master programs Human Decision Science (Maastricht University) and Leadership for Sustainability (Malmö University, Sweden).
Her research interests focus on environmental economics as well as behavioural economics with a focus on sustainability. She is part of the interdisciplinary research project Verbund.NRW and as such studies economic incentives for the application of recyclable composites in the building industry.
