Morten Endrikat started his work as a research associate and doctoral student in May 2014 at the Research Unit for International Economics. During his studies of Business Administration at RWTH Aachen University
(B. Sc. and M. Sc.), he already worked at the Research Unit as a student assistant.
His research interests are in the field of development economics, in particular resource economics and political economics. His current research focuses on the effects of the extraction of natural resources on the political development and the economic diversification of the respective states.
Morten Endrikat supervises the tutorials of the courses „Microeconomics II“ (Bachelor course, regularly in summer term), „Advanced International Trade“ (Master course, regularly in winter term), and „Macroeconomics II“ (Bachelor course, one-time in winter term 2015/16). Besides, he supervises Bachelor and Master theses.
