Course Description

This course is designed as an introduction into the economics of international trade and factor mobility. It provides an overview over the most important forms of internationalization and discusses their economic consequences. The course begins with a survey of the world economy and its development over time. It then analyzes the causes, effects and the relevance of international trade, migration, international capital flows, and foreign direct investments. Additional subjects are imperfect competition, international trade policy, and regional aspects of international trade.
