Course Description
The course consists of one week lectures and class discussions followed by one day student presentations. Students groups will choose 2 or 3 countries and will prepare a 20-30 minutes presentation about entrepreneurial and innovative competitiveness of those countries.
Contents of the lecture
(1) Growth theories: exogenous and endogenous
(2) Engines of Growth: innovation and entrepreneurship
(3) Regional innovation systems: Asia, Europe and America
(4) Patents and open innovation
Course Objectives
The main objective of this course is to enable students to develop skills and knowledge for conceptualizing, analyzing and interpreting entrepreneurial, innovative and competitiveness of different countries. The course consists of one week lectures and class discussions followed by one or two day(s) student presentations. The course material will be provided to students before the classes begin. Students are expected to read the materials in advance and to actively contribute to class discussions.
